Steph Houghton’s impact on women’s football cannot be overstated. She has been a trailblazer for the sport, both on and off the pitch. Her leadership, skill, and dedication have inspired countless young players to dream big and reach for the stars.
As she walked off the pitch for the final time, tears in her eyes but a smile on her face, it was clear that she was leaving a legacy that will endure for years to come. Thank you, Steph Houghton, for everything you have done for the game. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
I want to stay involved in the game. I want to give back to the next generation of players, help them grow and develop, and hopefully inspire them in the same way that I was inspired by those who came before me. So, while this may be farewell to my playing career, it’s certainly not goodbye to football.
