I feel like I’m a different player now and I feel like I can go and compete at Oakmont and win. I’ve had some great results in the US Open since then, so I’m really looking forward to that. Hopefully, I can go back there and rectify what happened in 2016.
Lowry also has his eyes set on making a return to the Ryder Cup team this year, having made his debut in the victorious 2016 team at Hazeltine.
I would love to make the Ryder Cup team, Lowry added. I feel like I should be on that team and I feel like I can bring a lot to that team.
It’s a huge goal of mine to make that team and hopefully I can go out there and do it. It would be an amazing way to cap off a great year for me.
