Preparación de Mark Sears de Alabama para el Draft de la NBA, desafíos del combine del año pasado y la inminente grandeza de Cooper Flagg en la NBA (EXCLUSIVO)

It was definitely a great experience to be a part of the Wooden Award ceremony and to be recognized alongside some of the greats in college basketball history. It was an honor to be there and to see all the hard work paying off.

As for our NCAA tournament run, it was a bittersweet experience. Of course, as a player, you always want to win it all. But looking at it from a broader perspective, being a part of three straight Sweet 16s, two straight Elite 8s, and a Final Four is quite an accomplishment. It was a successful year for us as a program.

Seeing Cooper after our loss to Duke was definitely tough. He’s a great player and it was hard to see him after such a tough loss. But he’s a good guy and we were able to laugh and talk, so it was all good in the end.

Cooper is an incredibly talented player. His versatility on both ends of the floor is truly special. He can score at all three levels and is a great defender. He’s definitely the real deal and I have no doubt he’ll succeed in the NBA.

Personally, withdrawing from the NBA Draft last year was a tough decision, but I knew I wanted to further develop my game at Alabama. That extra year really helped me improve my playmaking and passing abilities. I feel more confident in my abilities now and I’m excited for the Draft.

Overall, I just want to be in a good situation in the NBA. I’m ready to contribute and help a team in any way I can. I feel prepared after going through the draft combine experience and I’m looking forward to the next step in my basketball career.
