United have now hit a point where they need to make a decision – stick with Amorim and give him time to build or cut their losses and bring in a more experienced manager to try and salvage something from this season.
Either way, the club is in need of a major overhaul in terms of both personnel and strategy if they are to climb out of the hole they find themselves in.
For now, the fans can only hope for a miraculous turnaround in form that sees United salvage something from what has been a disastrous season so far.
