Just five minutes later, United doubled their lead. Mainoo showed great composure to control the ball in the box before firing it past Ortega to make it 2-0 to the Red Devils.

Manchester City tried to respond, with Haaland coming close to pulling one back as his strike rattled the crossbar. But United held firm and went into half-time with a two-goal lead.

The City fans roared as seven minutes of stoppage time were announced, but United held on to secure a famous victory and lift the FA Cup trophy.

Great to see young talent coming through at Manchester United, exciting times ahead!
