We had a tough time last year and the year before, but I’m confident that we’ve learned from those experiences and we’re not going to fall into the same trap again.
Mercedes are a team with a lot of experience and resources, so I have no doubt that we will be competitive right from the start of the season.
As for my relationship with Max, I think things got a bit out of line in 2024, but we’ve both moved on from that and we’re focused on the new season ahead. I have no concerns over Max, he’s a great driver and I have a lot of respect for him.
Overall, I’m excited for the new season and I believe we have a strong car and a strong team behind us. I can’t wait to get out on track and start racing again.
So it’s just been a case of really trying to balance that out and make sure that we’re not going to create a new issue while trying to solve an existing one. I think that’s been the biggest focus for us this year and hopefully it pays off in the upcoming season.
