He had a very strong start to the season and was consistently finishing in the top positions. However, his recent performances in Monaco and Imola have been challenging. It is important for Red Bull that Perez regains his form and consistency in order to continue competing effectively against Ferrari and McLaren in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships. Hopefully, Perez can bounce back in the upcoming races and contribute valuable points to the team’s championship campaign.
We always said we would take the first quarter of the year to look at things and we are obviously getting to that point now.
But I think Checo is doing a good job. He had a tough weekend in Monaco but he is a class driver and we are happy with the job he is doing.
It’s just about getting him back into that happy place and I’m sure he will deliver the results we know he is capable of.”
