He acknowledged that VAR has helped in the vast majority of cases, but there will always be instances where decisions are incorrect. Maxwell praised the transparency brought in by Willie Collum in refereeing and emphasized that discussions and disagreements over decisions will always be a part of the game.

Additionally, Maxwell condemned the use of pyrotechnics by supporters at the Old Firm clash, stating it as a growing problem that led to a delayed kick-off.
