There were some positives to take from the game – England bowled brilliantly in the middle overs and fielded superbly throughout. But the top order needs to come to the party and take advantage of the powerplay. They need to put pressure on the opposition from the start if they are to have any chance of progressing in this tournament.
It’s now a must-win game against USA and England will need to come out firing from the first ball. They have the talent and the ability to bounce back, but they need to show more intent and aggression with the bat if they are to keep their T20 World Cup hopes alive.
