Al menos 6 bebés palestinos mueren congelados mientras las familias de Gaza buscan refugio.

In Gaza, at least six Palestinian newborn babies have tragically passed away due to severe cold, lack of shelter, heating, and inadequate humanitarian aid. The Friends of the Patient Charity Hospital received nine cases in the past two weeks of premature infants suffering from various health issues caused by the harsh weather, including hypothermia.

Despite immediate treatment efforts, five of the infants did not survive. The remaining infants are receiving medical care, with one still in critical condition on a ventilator. Another infant from southern Gaza also succumbed to the cold while inside a makeshift tent.

The dire situation in Gaza has left many families with minimal shelter and no heating during the cold, rainy winter months. Lack of proper infrastructure and resources has exacerbated the challenges faced by displaced Palestinians, leading to more deaths among vulnerable populations, including infants.

UN agencies and aid groups are working to provide assistance, but the current aid efforts are falling short of meeting the urgent needs of the population. The death toll due to extreme cold continues to rise, highlighting the critical need for immediate and comprehensive support for those affected in Gaza.

Este es un cifra impactante que no se puede ignorar. Relacionado…
