Abierto Femenino AIG: Charley Hull y Lilia Vu describen condiciones ‘súper difíciles’ en el día de apertura en St Andrews | Noticias de Golf

But we managed to play in five hours, 45. It was just so slow out there. You were just standing around waiting for the wind to stop blowing. It was just brutal out there, but I played really well and managed to get it round in five under, so I’m very happy with that.

It’s a tough golf course to begin with, and then you add the wind and it’s just brutal. I’d give it a 10 out of 10 for difficulty today, but I love a challenge and I love playing in the wind, so I’m very happy with my score.

I’ve got my brother on the bag this week, so I’m just having fun out there and enjoying it. He’s been watching a lot of golf and he knows what he’s doing, so it’s been good fun.

It’s a really tough walk, but I’m used to walking, so I’m OK with that. You’ve got to keep moving and keep going, and I’m just enjoying being out there playing golf.

There’s a long way to go in this tournament, but I’m in a good position after the first round, so I’m looking forward to the rest of the week and hopefully I can keep playing well.
