Overall, it was a controversial weekend in the Scottish Premiership with the red card incident involving Dan Casey and the penalty appeal for Kilmarnock causing a lot of debate. It seems like VAR could have played a better role in these decisions, and it will be interesting to see how these incidents are addressed moving forward.
INCIDENT: Dundee’s Max Anderson was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Rangers’ Glen Kamara. What did you make of the decision?
DERMOT SAYS: It’s a reckless challenge, he’s off the ground and he catches him high. It’s a red card all day long.
INCIDENT: Rangers were denied a penalty after Juninho Bacuna appeared to handle the ball in the box. Should that have been given?
DERMOT SAYS: It’s not a penalty for me. His arm is in a natural position and he’s not made himself bigger. It’s one that you’d understand the referee not giving.
INCIDENT: There was a late penalty shout for Dundee as Lee Ashcroft went down in the box under pressure from Filip Helander. Was that a penalty?
DERMOT SAYS: It’s a penalty for me. He’s caught him with his hand and he’s impeded him. It’s a penalty kick.
