Even if I had a perfect year, I wouldn’t have won the championship, Norris admitted. I think Max has just been too strong and too consistent throughout the year. I think he deserves it and I think he has done a better job than I have. I’m happy with how I have performed but he has just been a step above.
Norris and McLaren will now look to finish the season strongly and secure second place in the Constructors’ Championship, with Ferrari hot on their heels.
Despite not being able to challenge for the title this year, Norris remains optimistic for the future and is determined to continue improving and fighting for race wins and championships in the seasons to come.
