Bray herself is not planning to give up football anytime soon, though, with the teenager determined to continue playing both sports despite the challenges of managing her time.
I don’t want to give up football because I love it so much. It’s such a different environment to cricket, she said. I just have to manage my time well and make sure I’m playing both as much as possible.
For now, though, Bray is relishing the opportunity to continue playing in the WBBL alongside Perry and the rest of the Sydney Sixers squad.
It’s pretty cool to be able to train and play with the girls, and the experience I’m getting out of it is amazing, she said. I’m just going to take it as it comes and see where it goes.
With a dream debut under her belt, the future certainly looks bright for Caoimhe Bray in both cricket and football.
