Rory McIlroy considera cambios en el calendario para 2025 y descansos adicionales después de una temporada condensada en el PGA Tour | Noticias de Golf

It’s just about managing that and figuring out what’s best for me and what’s best for my game. I feel like I need to be fresh and ready to go every time I tee it up, and I don’t feel like that’s been the case for large parts of this year.

McIlroy is currently ranked 10th in the world and is aiming to end the year on a high with strong performances in his remaining events, as he looks to carry momentum into the 2025 season.

It remains to be seen what changes McIlroy will make to his schedule next year, but the four-time major champion is determined to find the right balance between playing enough events to stay competitive and taking enough breaks to stay fresh and focused.

McIlroy’s comments suggest that he plans to reduce his tournament schedule in the future in order to focus on quality over quantity. Despite not contending at the Tour Championship, he acknowledged Scheffler’s consistency and ability to avoid mistakes on the golf course. Moving forward, McIlroy may look to emulate that level of solid play in order to improve his own game.
