Magnussen will now be replaced by reserve driver, Pietro Fittipaldi, for the upcoming race in Baku. Fittipaldi, grandson of two-time Formula 1 champion, Emerson Fittipaldi, has previously competed in F1 for Haas in the 2020 season as a stand-in for the injured Romain Grosjean.
It remains to be seen how Magnussen will bounce back from this setback, but he will surely be eager to return to action and make amends for his recent mistakes on track.
