Madeline Kenney has announced her new album, Summer Quarter, due out on June 21. The first single, ‘Rita’, is a dreamy track that explores the feeling of liberation after breaking free from a toxic relationship. “I wrote this song as a reflection on the liberating feeling of finally escaping a toxic relationship,” Kenney shared in a statement. “It’s about the constant push-pull that can come with ending something that, despite being unhealthy, is also so familiar. I wanted the music to feel like a lightness, a gentle sway, and the lyrics to reflect a sense of freedom and possibility.”
Japanese Breakfast – ‘Cherry Blossom’
Japanese Breakfast, the solo project of Michelle Zauner, has released a new single titled ‘Cherry Blossom’.
